Data Deletion Instructions
How to request deletion of your data associated with CallMissed.

CallMissed ("we", "our", "us") provides WhatsApp communication and automation features. This page explains how you can request deletion of your data associated with CallMissed. If you also want to close your CallMissed account entirely, see our Account Deletion Policy.
1. Who Can Request Deletion
You can request deletion if you:
- used CallMissed services, or
- connected a WhatsApp phone number / WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) with CallMissed, or
- received messages from a business using CallMissed and want deletion of your data stored by CallMissed (where applicable).
2. What Data We May Store
Depending on how you use CallMissed, we may store:
- Account information — e.g., name, email, business name
- WhatsApp-related identifiers needed to provide the service — e.g., WhatsApp phone number, WABA ID, phone number ID, business ID, app-scoped IDs
- Configuration data — e.g., webhook configuration, automation settings, template metadata
- Messaging-related data — message logs and message content needed for support, analytics, and delivery history, together with delivery metadata such as timestamps, status, and message IDs
3. What Will Be Deleted
Upon a valid request, we will delete or anonymise (as applicable):
- your CallMissed account profile data
- WhatsApp identifiers linked to your account in our systems
- automation/configuration data created under your account
- stored message logs, content, and metadata linked to your account (as applicable)
4. Data We May Retain
We may retain limited data where required for:
- Legal / compliance obligations — e.g., invoices and billing records under applicable Indian tax and accounting law, where applicable
- Security / fraud prevention — limited access, limited retention
- Backup retention — residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period until backups rotate. Production infrastructure runs on Microsoft Azure in India (Central India). Encrypted backups for production data are maintained within India.
Retained records are not used for marketing or model training.
5. How to Request Deletion (Email Method)
Send an email to support@callmissed.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request.
In the email, include:
- Your WhatsApp phone number (with country code)
- Your CallMissed account email (if you have one)
- Your business name (optional)
- What you want deleted, either:
- "Delete my entire CallMissed account and associated data", or
- "Delete data linked to WhatsApp number +[country code][number]"
6. Verification (To Protect You)
To prevent unauthorised deletion, we may request verification such as:
- confirming from the registered email address, and/or
- verifying ownership of the WhatsApp number (for example, through a confirmation step we provide).
7. Timeline
We will complete deletion within 30 days of verifying the request, subject to the limited retention described in Section 4.
8. Your Rights
This process supports your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, including the right to erasure of personal data. Withdrawal of consent triggers cessation of processing and erasure unless retention is required by law. Our Grievance Officer is reachable at karan@callmissed.com (see Grievance Redressal).
